Drug Tests?

Republicans inserted a provision in the legislation extending unemployment benefits requiring applicants to get drug tested. Looking at how the Republicans have governed since the 2010 elections it appears that the members of the Republican House of Representatives and their leader, Speaker John Boehner are far more in need of drug testing than any of the unemployed. How else can one explain the incompetence in governing they have demonstrated. It would almost appear that Al Gore has somehow had a hand in the Republican legislative process. Following the 2000 Bush v Gore Presidential elections, pundits from all sides seemed to agree that the Gore campaign was possibly the most screwed up political venture in the history of the country. The analogy most used was the ability to screw up a one car parade. Al, you have met your match and it is the Republican House of Representatives under the leadership of John Boehner. The parade, in a manner of speaking, is a year away from starting and already it is irreparably screwed up. One might actually assume that Boehner, Cantor, McConnell, & Co. are being paid far more than David Plouffe or David Axelrod to make sure that Barack Obama wins a second term as President. It appears that their blunders are more likely to assure his re-election than any strategies conceived by either Plouffe or Axelrod. Drug tests may not be the answer but no individual, no group of individuals, no organization can, on its own, display such a high level of incompetence without the aid of some illegal substance. What is it called and where can it be bought? Label it, make it legal, and tax it. The revenue from the tax should be sufficient to completely pay down the deficit.
