Going to the Dogs

I just became a foster owner for a dog. Her name is Bella. She’s 7 years old and is a blonde lab. I think she’s a Republican! For one thing, she does not like any other dogs that may be darker than she is. In addition, she seems to be able to discriminate between pure breeds and mixed breeds and does not seem to care for mixed breeds, but if they’re light colored, she will at least let them sniff. She is very possessive of her toys and doesn’t like anyone to touch or move them. While she hasn’t barked an opinion about taxes or welfare (she, by the way is a welfare recipient as she is fostered and not adopted at present so she definitely is demonstrating republican style hypocrisy) she has only been at her new home for a couple of hours. So, here’s the thing, can a former Eisenhower republican who has voted for Obama AND Bill Clinton find happiness with Bella, the republican (she might even be a Tea Party dog!!!) dog? Only time will tell.
