Cheap Rates

It is interesting how the anti-government crew complains about how the EPA will have such a devastating effect on energy costs. They do not appear to realize the EPA was a republican creation. Signed into law by Richard Nixon, it was republicans who first created the EPA. Now that is has been accepted by democrats, the republicans want to kill their own baby! Of further interest is their rhetoric about how EPA/government interference will increase electric rates. Guess what idiots, electric rates are low because of government interference. The dolts probably do not know that the TVA was a government creation and is still a quasi-government organization. It was government subsidies and loan guarantees for TVA projects that resulted in some of the lowest electric rates in the country. Should these rates increase because of EPA requirements they might go as high as rates in other parts of the country. Why is it that the most ignorant tend to speak the loudest? Is there a republican who cares to answer that question?
