Endorsement

Recently there have been a number of newspapers that have endorsed Mitt Romney for President.  Unfortunately, none of these endorsements specify which Romney they are endorsing.  Could it be that they favor the Romney that was “to the left of Ted Kennedy” when he was running for the Massachusetts Senate seat?  Perhaps the editorial writers of these papers meant to endorse the “Moderate” Romney who, as Governor of Massachusetts managed to increase spending, had the 3rd worst record of job creation in the nation, was out of the Commonwealth 221 days during his last year in office, and trails Obama in polls of Massachusetts voters.  The editorial endorsement panel might have meant to endorse the “severely conservative” Governor as self described by Romney (after claiming he served as a moderate able to work with democratic legislators). Then, during the primary for republican nomination, there was the Tea Party Romney who would set back women’s health by 59 years, adopt the Ryan budget which would enrich millionaires and impoverish more of the middle class.  Then, there was the Romney of debate 3 who agreed with the policies of Obama and could not find anything he would do differently if elected President.  The one thing that is certain is that the Romney running for President has told more lies than virtually any other candidate in the history of the office and has surrounded himself with the same advisors who helped Bush 43 introduce the policies that caused the recession, brought the country into two of the longest wars in history, failed to kill or capture Bib Laden, and increased the deficit more than the total of all other previous administrations. The reality is that none of the recent Romney endorsements have cited any single fact that would demonstrate Romney's competency as President or that the policies he has proposed will actually do anything other than return to an economy that resulted in the largest recession since the Great Depression of the 30's.  All Romney has offered is wishful thinking, similar to his Republican predicessor, Bush 43.  One has to wonder just what these editorial boards are hoping for by endorsing Romney for President.
