In 2011, corporations and individuals will get
$1,147,780 million dollars in income tax expenditures in the form of deductions, exceptions, and exemptions, from the U.S.
Government. In 2012 that figure will
rise to $1,153,738 million in “tax gifts”.
The majority of recipients of these gifts are the very people who
probably voted for McCain and Romney over the past two Presidential elections. Perhaps Romney is upset that his “bribes”
didn’t work. It is obvious that Romney
failed to consider that it is not the amount of money paid in bribes but the
numbers of recipients of those bribes that win elections. Here is a suggestion to republicans for
future elections...give less to those at the top and spread your bribes to
everyone else. That will give you a
better chance of winning when you do not have a winning story to tell that
resonates with the majority of voters.
