This is the voice of a former Eisenhower Republican who presently is witnessing the destruction of the middle class because of today's Republican politics and policies. Today, ideology trumps reality and practicality. The time has come for humans to take back the castles from the corporations. Comments are welcome, by the way.

Now It’s Boehner!
What is it with Republican congressional leaders? First McConnell writes his name into the history books by first introducing legislation in the Senate, and when it comes to the floor for a vote, immediately filibusters his own legislation. Talk about voting for before voting against. Now, not to be outdone (there is no filibuster in the House of Representatives) Speaker Boehner echoes McConnell by introducing legislation, calling for a vote, claiming he has the votes to pass the legislation (a claim echoed by Majority Leader, Cantor) and then when it comes time for a vote, adjourns the House of representatives without taking a vote. It is time to send people to Congress who know what it means to govern. Political grandstanding as well as being immune to the reality that party ideology may not be the preferred choice of American people is not governing. This Congress has set a new level of incompetence and this is costing many citizens jobs, security, and shelter. Penalizing the entire country because of dislike for the idea that a man of color won the office of President is not governing. Following the directions of Grover or Rush, neither of whom have ever been elected to a political office is not governing. Governing is more than cutting taxes and saying, “HELL NOT YOU WON’T”. We need to send people to Congress who understand what governing entails.
