Pot vs Kettle

There is a reality that none of the other talking heads on the left (or progressive, if you prefer) fail to point out is that the opposition from various programs like welfare, subsidized housing, Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid all come from the group who will never in their lives need these resources.  Whether from the political arena or from private industry, virtually everyonein the private sector who speaks in opposition to various programs and safety nets has used tax deductions and tax loopholes to increase their personal wealth and as a result of generous compensation plans, is set for life when it comes to either retirement or healthcare.  By the same token, the voices in opposition from the public sector also emanate from those whose political positions will provide them with the many benefits they so loudly oppose.  Why is it OK for members of Congress to have taxpayer funded retirement, healthcare, and other “goodies”, but someone in the lower 10% of the economic ladder who receives assistance is lazy and not willing to “earn” his or her keep.  The Progressive Talking Heads should point out this hypocrisy and to corner those in opposition and ask them how their benefits are paid for.
