Jobs and Taxes, Taxes and Jobs

Where is the proof that reducing taxes result in increased jobs? What evidence exists that shows lowering taxes for the job creators results in increased hiring? What evidence is there that insurance companies will lower premiums to compete for more business? Can anyone demonstrate that competition for patients have reduced healthcare costs? What evidence shows that deregulation has positive economic results? Now that we are in the throws of campaigning, politicians from both sides of the aisle make all of these claims about everything that, in their opinion, is wrong with the world and they, and only they can change is elected to office. Yet, we consider giving them out votes and do not bother to force them to show us the proof. Jerry McGuire, the fictional character in a movie liked to say, “show me the money”! We need to scream that at those seeking our votes. Show me the money, show me the proof should be the first thing we ask of anyone running for office. “Obama is the worst President in history” someone running for office cried. Show me the proof should be our answer. “Gingrich is soft on immigration”, so says Romney. Where’s the proof should be our reply. Bachmann claims Iran “has the bomb” and we need to reply, where’s the proof. Prior to the 2010 elections, voters listened to the Tea Party and sent 80+ newcomers to Congress because voters were promised things would get better. What have those 80+ newcomers accomplished that resulted in economic improvement or more jobs?
