This is the voice of a former Eisenhower Republican who presently is witnessing the destruction of the middle class because of today's Republican politics and policies. Today, ideology trumps reality and practicality. The time has come for humans to take back the castles from the corporations. Comments are welcome, by the way.

Leadership???
We hear the word leadership a lot these days. In his quest for the republican nomination, Mitt Romney, continues to assert that he has leadership qualities while President Obama lacks leadership ability or experience. At close look, one might contest the assertion of Mitt. For one thing, his PAC has “destroyed” Gingrich but Mitt claims to have nothing to do with those actions. He claims to be running a positive campaign and all of the negativity is originating outside of his control. From where I am sitting, a simple, “stop that negative shit” on the part of a true leader should be sufficient to put a halt to all of the negative ads. Even though, “I’m Mitt Romney and I approve of this ad” doesn’t appear on any of the hundreds of anti-Newt commercials, it is obvious who is behind this attack. Mitt, if you claim to be a leader, lead. Your replies when questioned about the negativity sound like the guards at Auschwitz when they claimed to be just following orders. Are you, in fact, the leader of your campaign for the presidency or are you a puppet whose strings are in the hands of the unnamed that make up your PAC? In either case, you are not demonstrating that your leadership skills are any better than the skills of President Obama. If you cannot control your PAC, how will you control Congress? If you can’t encourage your PAC to clean up its act, how will you encourage your opposition in the Senate to support your agenda? Speaking of which, just what is your agenda besides defeating President Obama. You have yet to demonstrate how you might increase jobs, reduce the deficit, balance the budget, fix the healthcare problem, stop the wars, or anything else requiring presidential leadership. If you can’t control your own PAC how will you possible control the military? Leadership, Mitt, I think not!
