More Hypocrisy

Less government interference for me, but more for them. That should be the platform for republican presidential candidates. After all, if you look at their tax plans, they all want to eliminate taxes on capital gains and inheritance. Who does this affect? Obviously it would benefit every one of the candidates running for the republican presidential nomination. It would benefit the top 2% of wealthy Americans. It would benefit the top 50% of the population who receive 99% of capital gains income. It would benefit less than 5000 families who would pay inheritance taxes every year. It would not benefit the majority of Americans, however. Drug test those on welfare or collecting unemployment insurance, they shout. How will this benefit anyone other than the companies that perform drug testing. Require any woman requesting an abortion to have a sonogram. Who benefits from this...not the woman nor the doctor but the imaging facility. One could go on and create a list of all of the intrusions into people’s lives that are initiated by the party of less government. The party of fewer regulations, when last in office, created more regulations than any previous administration. The party of less government spending spent more and raised the deficit higher than any previous party when last in office. The party of smaller government, when last in office, had the largest increase in government employees since World War II. Contrary to the words of FOX TV, Rush, or Glen, the party of less is the most hypocritical political party in the history of the republic. More for US and less for THEM is the only place less is in conservatives’ vocabulary.
