Superlatives???????

As the republican primary contest rolls on, so does the increase in superlatives. Each of the republican candidates must face a mirror every morning and like the fairy tale, do the mirror, mirror, on the wall thing. Someone needs to ask each of them the following: You claim to be the most conservative of all of the candidates. How does that result in more jobs for the unemployed? How will your conservatism lower the deficit? Because you are the most conservative, what corporate tax loopholes will be closed? You claim to be the most Christian of all of the candidates. What will your religious beliefs do to get people back to work? Will you find answers to the deficit problem in your church? Is there anything in your reading of scripture that tells you how to increase individual tax revenues? You claim not to be a Washington insider. What does your lack of Washington experience provide in the way of skills in negotiating legislation? How does your position as an outsider create jobs? As an outsider, what can you do to reduce the costs of gasoline? What is the role of an outsider in preventing unwanted pregnancies or reducing abortions? Anyone looking at the 2010 Congressional elections would see that there were many new representatives elected because they were outsiders, more conservative, more Christian, or a multiple of these claims. One must ask if those traits produced any beneficial results. Based upon all polling, the public opinion of Congress is at an all time low. Perhaps different criteria is needed to choose elected representatives or Presidents. Superlatives hAve not worked very well in the past.
