Equal Rights?

Deny rights to one person and rights are being denied to all of us. Take away freedom from one group of people and freedoms are taken from all. Amendment 1 which was voted in North Carolina is an example of how misguided legislation will end up affecting far more people than originally intended. Amendment 1 is also a good example of why the Constitution protects certain minority rights from being usurped by a majority vote. Hopefully, court action will take place in the near future to invalidate the vote on Amendment 1. There are basic rights which should never be left up to the will of the majority.
