Where Are The Jobs?

If Wal-Mart were a country it would be China’s eight-largest trading partner. Apple Computer employs 25,000 people in the US and another 25,000 overseas, but Foxconn Technologies, the company that actually manufactures most admired products employs 1 million employees, 250,000 of them in China making nothing but Apple products. Between 1999 and 2008 overall employment of foreign affiliates of US companies increased by 30% to 10.1 million employees of US companies employed outside of the United States. During that same time, from 1999 to 2008, employment of American multinational companies declined by 8% to only 21.1 million employees. Where are the jobs...On the wrong side of the oceans!
