This is the voice of a former Eisenhower Republican who presently is witnessing the destruction of the middle class because of today's Republican politics and policies. Today, ideology trumps reality and practicality. The time has come for humans to take back the castles from the corporations. Comments are welcome, by the way.

Romney’s Experience
Mitt Romney continues to claim his business experience at Bain Capital would enable him to be an effective President of the United States. Here is what Newt Gingrich, a Republican, had to say about Mitt’s business experience. “For tens of thousands of Americans, the suffering began…when Mitt Romney came to town.” While, Mitt ran a company, made money, and helped create some jobs the same thing was said about George Bush and Dick Cheney and we all can see how that turned out. However, everything Romney did at Bain Capital shouldn’t be applauded. Yes, Romney created some jobs. He also got a bailout at Bain Capital. He also made huge profits directly off of buying out companies and putting a lot of poor and middle class Americans out of work. They lost their jobs. He got rich off of putting them in the unemployment line. Romney put over 17,000 people out of work. Did he create more jobs than he killed? When he was Governor of Massachusetts, his record saw the state go from 39th to 47th in terms of job creation under his governorship. Compare his job creation record with that of President Obama who, upon taking office inherited an economy that was losing 850,000 jobs a month and since that time has see 4.5 million private sector jobs created during his term. There is also the experience factor to consider and while Romney may have had business experience, Obama has had presidential experience. There is a difference between running Bain capital and running the United States of America. In spite of every negative issue one might raise about President Obama, one thing is for certain. Obama will take a stand, keep that stand, and not flip-flop on each and every issue. Can anyone say the same thing is true where Romney is concerned. It was his Republican “friends” who likened Romney’s positions to a weather vane.
