What Will Romney Do?

What will Romney do to improve the economy?  He claims that while Obama did not cause the economic recession, he (Obama) made it worse.  How a gain of 4.3 million jobs over the past 27 months is worse than losing over 750 thousand jobs a month like the last months of Bush is “making things worse” requires a lot of explaining.  But the real question that remains unanswered is just what will Romney do that will result in things getting better.  He has said he wil cut taxes an additional 20% over the Bush tax cuts, but the Bush tax cuts only helped about 10% of Americans.  Over 90% of Americans actually experienced decrease wealth and a decline in purchasing power over the years of low-tax economic policy.  The recipients of the largest tax cuts, called the job creators by Republicans, neither created jobs nor did their wealth trickle down as promised by those preaching supply-side theory.  That brings us back to the original question which was just what will Romney do that will result in economic growth for the middle class.  While he has said that his concern is to improve things for the middle class, eliminating capital gains will mostly help the rich, who, he says, do not need his help.  He has said that he is not concerned about the poor because there is already a safety net in place to help them, but his adaptation of the Ryan budget plan will result in over $3 trillion dollars in cuts to the safety nets in order to pay for the additional tax cuts for the wealthy who do not need his help.  As a by-the-way, if his annual earnings are in the $23 million dollar range, by having his income taxed as carried interest has saved Romney in the neighborhood of $5.7 million in federal income tax he would have to pay if his income was from wages, salary, or tips (like most middle class Americans).  And that savings is before he deducted the expenses of his horse.  (One has to wonder if he deducted the expenses of Shamus, the dog on the roof back then considering that most in the middle class are unable to deduct the costs of their family pets).  Back to the question...anyone who has an answer is welcome to comment.
