He’s Not Obama

Is there anything to qualify Mitt Romney to be the President of the United States other than he is not Obama?  In 2008, when Obama won the election, many on the right were upset because Obama was black.  While those opposed would never admit to a bias because of a person’s color, their cry, “he’s not one of us”, did little to disguise their bigotry.  The TEA party war cry, “take our country back” and the “birthers” activity further indicated the prejudice factor.  If one listens to talk radio or FOX news it is obvious that the only qualification a candidate needs to possess is to be someone other than Obama.  The only real success in governing on the part of Romney was the Massachusetts Healthcare program and Romney has demeaned this program from the first day he began to campaign for President.  His business experience would actually put him in company with the last Republican President, George W. Bush and we can see how business experience actually turned out.  Romney’s primary business experience involved using extensive credit to purchase companies in distress, run up the debt of those companies, loot their assets, and then either bankrupt their purchases or close them down and ship the jobs offshore.  That does not appear to be a formula that would end the recession.  His other plan, lowering taxes and eliminating regulation mirrors the policies of Bush 43 that resulted in the largest economic downturn since the great depression.  So, what qualities does Romney bring to the table ... It is true, he is not Obama.
