Can’t Fix Stupid

It is very hard to fix or repair stupid and the Republican politicians appear to be in need of a fix or repair.  Whether it is claiming that a rape victim cannot get pregnant to enacting numerous local, state, and federal laws putting the government in between a woman and her doctor, Republicans have managed to alienate many women voters.  At the same time Republicans claim to focus on job creation they have failed to enact a single piece of legislation that has the purpose of creating jobs.  In fact, Republicans have blocked by filibuster every piece of job creating legislation.  While claiming to support the growth of the middle class, Republicans have voted over 30 times to repeal the Affordable Healthcare Act which would benefit the middle class as much, if not more, than anyone else.  Republicans wonder why they do not have a following among minorities yet they continue to introduce legislation that is detrimental to minorities.  It is one thing to talk about legislative goals but another to actually propose and vote on policy.  Whether the words come from the Republican candidate for President or one of the Republican talking heads their actions speak far louder than their words.  Romney has known that he would run for President for many years and he has failed to correct those personal issues that could easily derail his presidential ambitions.  If he is not smart enough to foresee the problems his foreign investments and tax returns could cause his political campaign and is not astute enough to have advisors to warn his of these roadblocks, one has to question whether he has the knowledge and wisdom to be President.  You can’t fix stupid and many of Romney’s actions over the past as well as many of his misstatements look stupid.
