Job Creators?

HP adds to layoff tally, now plans 29,000 job cuts reads one recent headline.  The president of this company, Meg Whitman, is reported to be receiving in excess of $16 million dollars in compensation, much of which will be in a form that will involve no payroll taxes and will also have a maximum tax rate of 15%.  Boehner, Cantor, McConnell, and company justify these tax gimmicks as necessary to protect their “job creators”.  At last report, jobs are not created by laying off 29,000 people.  Why are we still buying into the bullshit from the right and the failure of those on the right to be truthful with the American people.  Corporate CEOs, who enjoy many of the tax benefits and who rarely pay the legislated tax rates on their income because of one loophole or another are not job creators.  They never have been job creators.  As a matter of fact, a significant portion of the working time and energy is spent trying to determine ways and methods to increase production, sales, and corporate revenues with fewer people, not more people.  The only job creators are customers who actually create demand for products and services that forces corporate executives to hire more people in order to remain competitive.  Until such time as Boehner, Cantor, McConnell and company recognize this the American middle class will continue to get screwed and the voting public lied to.
