Lies, Lies, And More Lies

To date the political campaign of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan has been characterized by the amazing amount of lies and misstatements uttered by the candidates and their surrogates.  During the primary battle for the nomination, this site enumerated over 60 instances when then-candidate Romney told either outright lies or made factual errors.  The first opportunity his running mate, Paul Ryan was no different even going so far as to accuse President Obama of having a hand in a plant closing that occurred before he was even in office.  It is unfortunate than there are many voters who will believe these lies and misstatements.  It is also unfortunate that the only asset that will bring voters into the voting booth to cast a ballot for the Romney/Ryan ticket is the reality that those voters would not vote for Barack Obama no matter who was on the republican ticket.  The Republican politics over the past years has resulted in creating an environment of hatred that is unlike any time in modern electoral history.  This is evidenced by the many policies that were originated by republicans but opposed by those same republicans once offered to republicans by President Obama.  The last republican administration lied or misspoke (your choice) about weapons of mass destruction that resulted in the loss of over 5000 Americans and 100,000 Iraqis.  Judging from the campaign rhetoric of Romney and Ryan there is no reason to expect truth from this administration should they win the November 6th election.  American needs a president who will not lie.  We are still paying the price of a president and vice-president who lied to us.  This is a price far too high to have to pay again.
