It is no secret why
Romney is not faring better in the Presidential contest. In fact, the answer is becoming more obvious
every day. The only asset Romney brings
to the race is the reality that he is not Barack Obama. He has no real programs that will help
America’s economic problems. His “plan”
is mostly a rehash of the programs that got the country into trouble in the
first place. All evidence points to the
failure of lowering taxes and lessening regulations actually benefits America
(other than the top 1%). As one of his
contenders in the primary said, his positions resemble a well lubricated
weather vane, shifting to which ever way the wind of public opinion seems to
point. Finally, and most important,
Romney is not presidential material.
Once past his appearance, there is nothing about the man or his history
that suggests he is ready to take on the job as President of the United
States. In other words, he is not
winning because he is a loser.
This is the voice of a former Eisenhower Republican who presently is witnessing the destruction of the middle class because of today's Republican politics and policies. Today, ideology trumps reality and practicality. The time has come for humans to take back the castles from the corporations. Comments are welcome, by the way.
