Affordable, Accessible

On an television program, Thursday night, Tennessee congressional Representative Marsh Blackburn said that the country needs affordable healthcare accessible by everyone.  Is there anyone reading this that can point to a single piece of legislation proposed or voted on by Representative Blackburn or any other Republican that would either make healthcare more affordable or more accessible?  She went on to display her ignorance by saying that she opposes “government run” healthcare.  Where, other than on a military base or Tri-care (VA) is there “government run” healthcare.  Admittedly, there are some communities where local government actually owns medical facilities and employs the medical personnel at those facilities.  But other than that, there is government administered payment for healthcare in the form of some Medicare or Medicaid.  Medicare Advantage, on the other hand, is actually administered by private, and mostly for-profit insurance companies.  Perhaps Representative Blackburn has been having bad dreams but where in the Affordable Health Care Act or Obamacare is there any place that says the government will own the medical facilities, employ the medical personnel, or otherwise “run” healthcare.  Someone in the position of Representative Blackburn has a responsibility to tell her constituents the truth and stop spreading lies and misinformation about legislation she neither crafted or supported.  If Representative Blackburn has a problem with any legislation it is her responsibility to offer amendments to improve that legislation.  Has she authored anything to make healthcare more affordable or accessible?  If so, what and when?
