Another Bullshitter President?

The right is upset about President Obama referring to Mitt Romney as a bullshitter.  Perhaps for the family values crowd, he should have used the term bovine defecatory materials instead of bullshit.  But, the real issue is not the use of a “bad word” but the reality that Romney has changed his positions on most issues of the day more frequently than he changes his magic underwear.  Just look at his Roe v Wade pronouncements:  When running against Ted Kennedy he was for a woman’s right to choose.  During the campaign for Governor of Massachusetts, Romney was a pro choice candidate.  Once he entered the fray for the republican nomination for the presidential ticket, Romney was pro life with no exceptions.  He even endorsed a senatorial candidate who had made ridiculous, “God’s will” claims about rape caused pregnancies.  Finally, when recently faced with the issue Romney was pro-life with exceptions.  Pick any other issue and you will find Romney was probably on every side of whatever issue you pick at one time or another.  At least the Bush Cheney administration was consistent when they lied about WMDs.  So, to those on the right who are upset at President Obama’s characterization of Romney, what do you call a candidate with his lack of conviction on a single issue.  He even lacks conviction on tax cuts after being faced with the mathematical impossibility of his proposed policy has now “changed” his policy regarding cutting actual taxes but continues to press for reduced tax rates saying that the “60% share of taxes being paid by the wealthy will not change” neglecting to point out the fact that the wealthy by his definition have 91% of income and wealth.  It appears the issue is no longer whether Mitt Romney is presidential timbre but whether or not he is a bullshitter.  One thing is absolutely certain and that is the reality that he lacks competency to be President of the United States.  If you don’t believe me, just ask the other republicans who also sought the republican nomination for President.  Every other candidate, at one time or another, accused Romney of lying or making misstatements.  Admittedly, none called him a bullshitter for publication or on tape, but one can easily guess what was in their minds if not actually on their lips.
