DOVER, Del. - Chemical maker DuPont is cutting 1,500 jobs.
CEO Ellen Kullman said weaker than expected demand in titanium dioxide and
photovoltaic markets contributed to the decline. Needless to say, there was
nothing in the press release that indicated that the DuPont Job Creator, Ellen
Kullman, used any of the tax savings she received since 2001 to create any new
jobs. The press release also failed to
note whether or not Job Creator Ellen Kullman reduced her own compensation to
save any jobs of other employees. As
long as Americans continue to believe the job creator bullshit that flows from
the mouths of Republicans, the middle class in this country will be at risk. CEOs are very quick to decry a lack of
employee loyalty but fail to recognize that loyalty is a two way street and has
to be earned. Laying off employees
every time a business fails to reach hoped-for profit margins is not a way to
build loyalty. A highly-paid job
creator should know this. Voters who
are presently employed by job creators should also be aware of how much their
own jobs are at risk and vote accordingly.
Since 1979, the only people in America who have enjoyed growth in income
and wealth are the so-called job creators, people like Mitt Romney who still owns 51% of Bain Capital, the company that purchased Sensata in Freeport, IL, and is sending 170 more jobs to China, who have been responsible for the
decisions that have resulted in 23 million Americans still looking for work.
