Thanks Ronnie!

Remember Ronnie Reagan?  He was the President that brought us trickle-down economics.  George H. W. Bush called that voodoo economics.  Most others call it screwing of America.  If it was so good, how does one explain that after spending more than 40 percent of all of the money in the world devoted to healthcare, America ranks thirty-seventh in the quality of our healthcare and until Obamacare goes into effect in 2014, will have 50 million people without healthcare insurance.  When Reagan took office in 1981, per-capital healthcare costs equaled 23 percent of the average salary of the bottom 90 percent of Americans.  By 2007, it had risen to 49 percent and growing.  The U.S. ranks 47th in infant mortality and 47th in life expectancy.  The U.S. is 46th in the world when it comes to the share of economy spent on public education.  In the past forty years the United States had gone from the greatest creditor nation to the biggest debtor nation.  When we measure the relationship between imports and exports (current account deficit) the U.S. is dead last among 190 countries.   Between Reganomics and big business, the United States ranks from so-so to dead last by so many measures it is frightening.  Yet, in spite of the declines in so many areas, there are still voices calling for more of the same.  There are politicians and pundits that insist on a return to the Reagan era of economics and regulation.  Thanks Ronnie for helping the U.S. fall into the crapper!
