Rudy, Rudy, Rudy, You’re not in New York any longer.

Rudy Giuliani, who’s claim to fame is one of a former mayor of New York has taken on the role of advocate for the overturn of the 2020 election results. Like most things that come from Rudy’s mouth, his lack of an credible evidence has turned his defense of Trump into another Trumpian failure.  While that is bad enough we now learn his ignorant behavior while tilting at the Trump windmill has had another result.  It turns out that Rudy is in the hospital attempting to recover from the Covid-19 virus.  His failure to wear a mask or follow social distancing guide lines caught up with his, as it did with over 50 other close associates of Trump who pooh-poohed masks and social distancing.  And, to make matters worse, Arizona's state House and Senate will close for a week "out of an abundance of caution" following Rudy Giuliani's COVID-19 diagnosis.  Giuliani, Trump's personal lawyer, spent last week flying around to several states Trump lost, including Arizona, in a desperate bid to get Republican legislators to try and overturn President-elect Joe Biden's win. Giuliani actually started feeling ill near the end of last week, and asymptomatic people can still spread the virus. Giuliani spent more than 10 hours discussing election concerns with Arizona Republicans — including two members of Congress and at least 10 current and future state lawmakers — at the Hyatt Regency Phoenix last Monday.  The 76-year-old led the meeting maskless, flouting social distancing guidelines and posing for photos.  The apparent Republican policy regarding the Covid-19 situation seems to give self-described personal liberty combined with economic considerations over those of scientists, epidemiologists, and other EDUCATED professionals.  This is typical of the Trump era where rumor, innuendo, and off-the-wall conspiracy theories trump (no pun intended) fact, science, and truth.  This approach is coming back to bite those adhering to Trump’s lies and misinformation in the ass.  Rudy’s experience is a perfect example of a failure to place competence over complicity.
