Why do you continue to support and empower Trump? Senator Ben Sasse, a Nebraska Republican, excoriated Trump in a phone call with constituents. Sasse complained about the president’s handling of the virus, his kissing up to dictators and other subjects. A spokesman for Sasse responded by saying “control of the Senate is 10 times more important” than the presidential race. While control of the Senate is important, the removal of an incompetent President trumps (HA!) control of the Senate. Senator has had a number of opportunities to show his disdain for President Trump but anytime he was called for a vote he supported him. Sasse did not vote to impeach Trump when the opportunity came his way. He did not speak out regarding the hypocrisy surrounding the nomination of Justice Ginsberg’s replacement. While he is worried about losing a majority in the Senate he is not worried enough to take any corrective action or to rally any fellow Republican Senators to take any corrective actions. Talk is cheap and while Republicans try to talk a good game and claim to listen to the American people their voting actions on the floor of the Senate conflict with every word out of Republican Senators mouth. They deserve to lose their majority which, they can only maintain by cheating.
