Masturbate or Murder
Capt. Jay Baker, a spokesman for the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office, sparked controversy Wednesday after stating that 21-year-old Robert Aaron Long was having “a really bad day” when he reportedly shot eight people dead the night before. Long, who blamed his rampage on “sex addiction,” is accused of killing six Asian women from three massage parlors in the Atlanta area. Long also claims to be a Christian who somehow must believe masturbation is more of a sin than murder. Long is said to have visited massage parlors numerous times and was self described as “addicted to sex”. Long was “fed up” and at the “end of his rope” when he went on a killing spree before trying to flee to Florida. Long also told law enforcement that he was struggling with sex addiction and targeted the spas to “take out that temptation.” This is just another of hundreds of examples of 2nd Amendment abuse. It is time to admit that there are people in the United States that should not be allowed to possess firearms. And, this is an example of how 2nd Amendment abuse has been twisted to justify the possession of guns by people incapable of responsible gun ownership or possession. One has to ask the gun lobby where, in the writings of the Founding Father does it say it is a right to own a firearm to prevent sex addiction? It there a secret clause in the Constitution that says murder is the best way to stop sex addiction? Which version of the Christian Bible pronounces masturbation a greater sin than murder? A former roommate said that Mr. Long agonized over the possibility of “falling out of God’s grace.” The world would be a lot better off if, instead of visiting a massage parlor with a gun or in a religious struggle with sexual purity a sex addict just went into the nearest gas station rest room and whacked off.
