This is the voice of a former Eisenhower Republican who presently is witnessing the destruction of the middle class because of today's Republican politics and policies. Today, ideology trumps reality and practicality. The time has come for humans to take back the castles from the corporations. Comments are welcome, by the way.

Actions not Words
“Marriage is a relationship between one man and one woman”, were words uttered by Willard Romney at Liberty University’s commencement address. Considering his family tree would include previous generations who believed in polygamy it seems somewhat hypocritical on his part. It was in that same address that he also said, “Central to America’s rise to global leadership is our Judeo-Christian tradition, with its vision of the goodness and possibilities of every life”. Yet, in spite of that pronouncement, he failed to resolve any conflict with that statement that is made when he supports the Ryan budget that would cut, reduce, or eliminate funding for the poor but promotes tax benefits for the wealthy. He went on to say, “Religious liberty is the first freedom in our Constitution. And whether the cause is justice for the persecuted, compassion for the needy and the sick, or mercy for the child waiting to be born, there is no greater force for good in the nation than Christian conscience in action”. Is there a single action he has proposed in his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination that actually reflects “justice for the persecuted”, or “compassion for the needy and the sick?” Previous posts listed many of the contradictions uttered by Romney during his recent political campaign and while he is now the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, he appears unable to reverse his history of verbal contradictions. What will Romney do if elected President? Can the country afford to find out?
