Trump’s Future

The media seems to be focused on what’s ahead for Donald Trump once his term in office expires.  There has been speculation that he will try to establish his own cable network.  This thinking is amplified by the way FOX TV has been such a strong influence over his political base.  Recently FOX has slightly moderated Trump support, much to his chagrin and it is not beyond reason that Trump, with his, “I am the greatest” ego would not think he could do a better job of promoting Trump.  Speculation is also high that he will immediately announce his candidacy for the 2024 presidential election.  Campaigning has been a huge source of cash and with his amassed debt coming due he will be desperately in need of cash flow which is not being provided by either his golf properties or his Trump managed real estate.  Then there are his legal issues.  As of January 20, 2021 Trump loses power and immunity from prosecution.  He faces two New York state inquiries into whether he misled tax authorities, banks or business partners. Two women alleging he sexually assaulted them are suing him. Some are calling for the revival of a federal campaign finance investigation.  While there are rumors either he will pardon himself or resign before January 20^th so then President Pence can pardon him some of the strongest cases are state not federal charges which can not be released with a presidential pardon.  Of course, Trump will claim any legal adversity is a witch hunt and a hoax, two of his favorite terms of disdain.  By announcing his intention to run again in 2024 Trump feel he has the support of over 70 million people who did vote for his re-election.  Regardless of what path either he may choose or is chosen for him he will be around after January 20, 2021 and will have something to say anytime a camera is pointed towards him.  He will never take responsibility for his failure in governing nor he failure to be re-elected but have any number of reasons other than his personal incompetence for his downfall.  Donald will continue to be Donald and will continue to blanket America with his bullshit.
